 Each month, the job of choosing Newbies to feature in the Newsletter is both difficult and pleasurable. You see, there are often so many high caliber pieces that it's terribly hard to narrow it down to just a few. This month I've tried to feature work that is both unusual and emotional. I hope you enjoy these picks.  This piece delves into joyous memories and the sadness of the every day existence of an old man.
An unusual view of the art of poetic expression.
The unique joys of motherhood are expressed with vivid and colorful imagery.
A tale of love and loss is beautifully told.
I loved the language and imagery of this piece!
Though short, this piece is full of extremely vivid description. The author places you squarely in the mind of his character and doesn't release you until the end!
The style of this piece is unusual. Although a challenging read, it is ultimately satisfying. A wonderful tale!
To me, this little poem seemed to typify Spring. It has soft emotions with touches of joy.
An unusual mix of Science Fiction and religion, this piece kept my attention from the first word to the last.
This marvelous little tale has a wonderful message and leaves you with a warm glow.
Although this story takes place at Christmas time, the lesson it teaches is valid all year round.

So what are the best ways to get your items rated and reviewed? First and foremost - Rate and Review! That's right! Get out there and read, rate, and review other author's work. Make your reviews both friendly and helpful and many people will give you the courtesy of reviewing your work in return. Although there is no requirement to return a review for one given, most people do try to take the time to visit the ports of those kind enough to rate their work. Second - Review forums! Go to a review forum and plug your work. Again, try to take the time to r&r some of the other work posted there. I've listed a few review forums for you below. These are open to new authors and some are only open to Newbies. Check these out when you get the chance!
