morning at an art installation
a blank page needs
words, so when I found myself
surrounded by unmarked white—
a paper room,
paper walls,
paper bed,
paper pillows,
reams of paper,
mountains of paper,
caves of paper—
surrounded on every side
with possibility,
potential, what could I do
but write?
