A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

Setup Finally Done
Setup Finally Done

Unfortunately, it took me almost all of my twelve-hour shift at work late yesterday evening and overnight early this morning to finish setting up my Water Wars Act Breakdowns, Story Outlines, and Scene Outlines so that I can start writing my sentences and paragraphs.

Why did it take me so long to set up my sentence Scene Outlines? After all, all I needed to do was copy and paste the Act Lineups from my spreadsheet into these Scene Outlines. Only that wasn’t all I needed to do, though. I also had to spell out the six main characters’ names.

That is what took me so long to do. I started with the capitalization of their names and their ages, just like you do in the paragraph Scene Outlines and the scripts, the first time a character is introduced. It’s not important to do it with the sentence Scene Outlines, but I do it with all my Act Breakdowns and my Story Outlines.

Something else I have done for my sentence, Act Breakdowns, my Story Outlines, and my Scene Outlines, is to colorize the secondary characters and their scene numbers. The three main characters of Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle are still black for these sentences, but the secondary characters of Reen, Voonc, and Kiirra are in red.

The paragraphs Story Outlines and Scene Outlines aren’t colorized. That’s because if an Agent, Producer, Director, etc. wants to see these Story Outlines or Scene Outlines, they don’t want to see colorization. That’s not the Industry Standard. They want them to be all black.

Especially when it comes to the Scene Outlines, that’s why these Agents, Producers, Directors, etc., want to see the most. Some may also want to see the Story Outlines, but most only want to see the Scene Outlines. Whether they want to see one or both Outlines, they must be all in black.

Where was I? I got a little sidetracked there. Oh, yes, I remember where I was and where I was going. After I capitalized the six main characters with their ages the first time, I went through and filled out the rest of their first names for the scenes they are associated with. That’s what took me so much time to do overnight early this morning.

There was one more thing I needed to accomplish with my setup of my newest and hopefully last Water Wars scriptwriting project. I had to set up my paragraph Story Outlines and Scene Outlines. The only reason why I had problems doing this is because The Cloud kept messing me up with my page layout, fonts, font sizes, etc.

The Cloud keeps messing me up because The Cloud wants me to save everything to it. Especially when I’m at work, but I can’t do that even if I wanted to do it because I don’t have any internet access while I’m at work. It only gets Pending, and that usually doesn’t work.

I don’t like The Cloud for numerous reasons. This is one of those reasons. The Cloud says it’s pending until I can get access to the internet, but that often isn’t true. I get home from work, and I still can’t save it to The Cloud. If I’m lucky, I can still save it to my laptop.
