Happy Easter to Everyone

What a beautiful day it has been so far. I was able to get my walk in with Gracie this morning it was 49° outside and no wind. I'll Thank The Lord for that, we've had our fair share of the blustery weather here lately but to day it was calm. I was able to check my WdC site and answer someone who reviewed one of my essays. I went in and took my shower and headed to Church to join an overflowing crowd. Funny how that happens on certain Holidays. It did not matter, I found a seat (not my usual one) and enjoyed a wonderful Sermon and a Choir! Can't think of a better way to start the day.

After Church I stopped by See's Candy Store, and picked up a Birthday Card for my Son who turns 49 on Tuesday the 22nd. He lives in the Phoenix area and my card will be late but I'll text him our best wishes for a Happy Birthday.

While in the store I purchased two boxes of Sugar Free Peanut Brittle, and my wife's favorite Milk Chocolate Butterscotch Squares. I brought them home and I gotta an Atto-Boy, course that only last till the next Ah-Shucks! That's life you take the good with the bad!

Yesterday we had Lunch with our daughter, it was our suggestion that we meet at Sizzler but she told us that she would pay for lunch. I must be living right! She confirmed that her new job was going well, but did admit to going in early to make sure she was getting use to the new operating system. I'm certainly glad I'm no longer in that world!

I've applied for a Amtrak pass, through the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railroad. I was an employee of the AT&SF Railroad who Merged with Burlington Northern. I was employed for 32 years from 1971 through Dec 2003. Amtrak came into existence in 1972, so my wife and I are able to ride free on our home road. That would be L.A to Chicago. I'm looking to go from Victorville CA to Albagurque NM to see my last two remaining cousins. We are all getting older, I'll be 78 next month and they are starting into their 80's. I no longer want to fly so I, decided I'd apply for a pass and see if I still qualify. Time will tell, so I'll wait for a reply.
