There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

Almost Half Already
Almost Half Already

The first four Sections. That’s how many Parts I wrote today for my WDC Short Story contest. That is about eight hundred words I have written for this contest. How did I write that many words in one day? I know I have done that in the past with the Writer’s Cramp contest, but that was centuries ago.

I know that I have written more than eight hundred words in a day before, but those were in paragraphs. They were also usually done while at work. So, eight hundred words aren’t much of a strength after all. I usually don’t do them with a Short Story, though. Normally, I’m lucky if I can get four to six hundred words in a day.

How did I get so many words written today? I don’t know the answer to that question because I don’t know the answer to it. I know I had about six hours to work on this Short Story, but that’s still only about an hour and a half for each Section. That doesn’t sound like me, either. It usually takes me about two hours for each Part.

The weather has been gloomy and bad all day today. I know that’s not the reason why I got so much writing done today. It’s normally just the opposite. Weather like this usually makes me sleepy and tired, no matter how much I sleep the night before. Besides, I got plenty of sleep last night. That can’t be the reason why I got so much written today.

Maybe it’s because this isn’t one of my Science Fiction short stories. I could have turned this into one of my Science Fiction short stories. After all, I remembered several short stories that fit this prompt, so I decided not to write a Short Story for this prompt. Mainly because of the female in a bikini in this prompt.

What does that mean for this Short Story and the second Short Story I will try to write this month? It means that if I keep on writing this Short Story like I did today, I will have it done in the next two days. Not only that, but it also means I could get my second Short Story written by the end of this weekend.

Unfortunately, in order to finish this second Short Story by the end of this weekend, I will be working on it mainly at work. That’s not that much of a big deal after all. After all, I expected to work on these short stories while at work this weekend anyway. I just thought it would be mainly my WDC Short Story I would be working on at work.

The big question is, will I get the final six Sections written in the next two days, or will I be working on these Parts while I’m at work this Friday evening and overnight early this Saturday morning? Since I wrote four Sections today, there is no reason why I should write at least three Parts of this WDC Short Story tomorrow.
