Memoirs of a Time Traveller

Doug Molitor's Memoirs of a Time Traveler is a fast-paced but enjoyable time travel novel. The protagonist is a young archaeologist who has the misfortune to encounter two time travelers from the 22nd century. One, Ariyl, is a beautiful woman who is unbelievably strong thanks to medical enhancements of the future. The other, Ludlo, is a crook with a plot to acquire some of the most valuable artifacts from throughout time.

To stop Ludlo, Ariyl and the narrator visit 1908 San Francisco chasing to prevent the Ludlo from stealing a baseball autographed by Ty Cobb, they are then forced to go back to Ancient Greece in pursuit of a golden minotaur statue.

A particularly memorable section involves the characters travelling to 1950's Hollywood where they team up with Jimmy Stuart, John Wayne, and Ronald Reagan to catch the villain.

The plot is a little involved, but it's one of those things where you almost don't care too much because the situation is so witty and entertaining.

Now, to be honest. as I sit down to write this, a few days after finishing the novel, I realize that I cannot reconstruct the plot very clearly from memory. So, I guess this book is not particularly memorable, but it is a good time while you're reading it.
