broken down coffee pot commits suicide

At dawn
The broken coffee machine
Completed suicide

The coffee pot was tired
Of dealing with my demands
Every day

I woke up
Nursing a
Heavy migraine

From a night
Of bad craziness

and demanded
My humble coffee maker
To make things right

Brewing up a pot
Of snarling hot coffee
And eating ice cream

Exacerbating
my high blood sugar count
the coffee pot did its thing
then shut down for good

not wanting to take responsibility
for my impending demise
due to my excessive alcohol consumption
and general bad craziness.
