There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories. |
The New Prompt for This Month I would continue working on my Water Wars Scene Outlines for my Water Wars scriptwriting project, but the prompt for this month’s WDC Short Story contest came in yesterday. I still could have worked on my Water Wars project. After all, I usually wait until I have a day off to write my short stories. I am working on my DeathBringers scriptwriting project on my days off from work, and I didn’t want to disrupt that flow, but it looks like I may need to do that anyway. I decided to work on this Short Story instead of my Water Wars scriptwriting project yesterday evening and overnight this morning. Unfortunately, I didn’t get too far into it. On my way to work, I remembered a Short Story accompanying this prompt. By the time I got to work, I had this Story written in my head. All I needed to do was write it. Like most of my short stories, I started with the set-up for this Short Story. After finishing the three to five paragraphs for my set-up, I started writing my Section sentences. When I finished writing them, I started writing this Short Story. It took me about four hours to write this setup. I don’t know why it took so long, but it did. Unfortunately, I only wrote the first two Parts of this Short Story. I hoped to write about four to six Sections this evening and overnight this morning, but I only wrote two. I don’t understand why I couldn’t write more about this Short Story. I should have written at least three or four of them. I wanted to get more of this Short Story written at work this weekend so I wouldn’t have too many Parts left to write before I finished it on my days off from work. I expected to work on it instead of my DeathBringers scriptwriting project for a day or two. Now it looks like I may need to work on this Short Story a lot longer than that. I believe I know why I didn’t get as many Sections written yesterday evening and overnight this morning. I think I’m coming down with a Cold, and this one is bad. I had a lot of problems getting to sleep today. If I’m lucky, I get about six or seven hours of sleep at the most. If this is true and I’m losing to a bad Cold, I may not get too much writing done on my WDC Short Story for this month. I hoped I would get two or three Parts written for this Short Story in the six hours I’m working there this evening. I may be lucky if I get one written. |
