Snow

January 25, 2025. day 3730

Snow
Here we go. This form of water, is one that is the subject of poems, or beautiful pictures. I just wish that I had camera to capture a snow scene in the country. And of course I would want to take a few pictures of children’s snowmen. I can imagine the hour a child spent to make his/her snowman so lifelike.
Snow can be helpful to keep things cool if one’s electricity goes out. In one episode in MASH, the doctors received a new shipment of blood. Their electricity had gone out so Col. Potter knew that it had snowed and that the blood could be stored temporarily in the river with snow on it to keep it from spoiling.
But since the doctors were operating on wounded men with frostbite, some men required amputations because of the frozen toes or fingers. No one liked the idea, but it had to be done.
I am new to a state that there is a lot of snow. And I have fallen a couple of times because of the slippery nature of the path. Black snow is dangerous.. I guarantee the the bruises I got were a good reminder to be careful and walk in someone’s steps if I had to go somewhere.
So I guess that it is how you look at snow. It can be a beautiful part of nature or a part in which accidents can happen. Either, it is something that one must respect and wait until it melts. It would be a good time to do some work inside the house that you have been putting off until a rainy or snowy day.
