A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Episodes Three and Four I started working at eleven PM WDC time yesterday evening but didn’t start working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project until about eleven fifteen PM WDC. It usually takes me about fifteen minutes to get set up to start my writing, especially on Friday evening. Saturdays and Sundays take about as much time as Friday. I usually end my shifts about fifteen minutes before the end of it so that I can get everything put away before my relief arrives. He has been getting there about ten to fifteen minutes early lately. I don’t leave my post until my shift ends, but I’m ready to go about fifteen minutes before I do. Between getting set up and getting ready to leave, I have about seven and a half hours on Friday, eleven and a half hours on Saturday, and five and a half hours on Sunday to work on my writing. Last night and overnight today, it was seven and a half hours. I wrote twenty-four paragraphs for the Episode Three and Episode Four Story Outline. I wrote eight paragraphs to end the Episode Three Story Outline. I thought I only had the Tag Act of Episode Three to finish before I was done writing this Outline, and I was right. After I finished writing the Episode Three Story Outline, I started writing the Episode Four Story Outline. Unfortunately, I didn’t get too far into that Outline. I only wrote the Teaser Act and two-thirds of Act One last night and overnight this morning at work. I usually don’t like going into an Act if I can’t finish writing the paragraphs for that Act, but I didn’t want to finish my shift with only eighteen paragraphs. Twenty-four paragraphs are better than eighteen, especially for me. This evening and overnight tomorrow morning is my eleven-and-a-half-hour shift. I don’t know how many paragraphs I will get written for the Episode Four Story Outline, but I hope it will be about thirty to thirty-five. Of course, I would like it to be quite a few more than that, but thirty to thirty-five will be okay. After all, that’s only about three paragraphs every hour. I hope it will be about forty-five to fifty paragraphs this evening and overnight tomorrow morning. That will equal about four paragraphs every hour. That’s a whole lot better turnaround than three each hour. I hope I get that many, but I won’t count on that until it happens. |
