A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
What Happened Overnight? I don’t know what happened yesterday at work. I should have gotten about forty-five to fifty paragraphs written for the Episode Three Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that many paragraphs written in my twelve-hour shift at work yesterday. I only got thirty-seven paragraphs written for this episode, two of which were Establishing Shots for Act Three. That equals about three paragraphs every hour and twenty minutes for every paragraph instead of four and fifteen as it has been lately. Why did I only get thirty-seven paragraphs written in twelve hours overnight at work? The only thing I can think of is it’s because of all the rewriting I had to do, mainly at the end of my lines. I had a lot of lines ending in more than five missing spaces. I won’t allow that. I also had some problems with how to write these paragraphs. Sometimes, I knew what I wanted to write but didn’t know how. Between the rewriting and not knowing how I wanted to write these paragraphs, I only got thirty-seven written overnight. It’s not all bad news, though. Since I don’t return to work until eleven PM WDC time, I had some time to update this Scene Outline. Unfortunately, it didn’t go too well. At first, I only had one Grammarly Pro issue. After I fixed that issue, I almost instantly had fifty-five issues. After I started fixing these fifty-five issues, I soon had sixty. Finally, I finished updating these issues. Almost instantly, again, I had ten more issues to update. After those ten got fixed, I had another three three show up. It seems that no matter what I do, I get more issues to resolve. I think I know why Grammarly Pro keeps giving me so many issues. It’s because of my writing style. Most of these issues are from Earth terminology instead of Poulask terminology. Grammarly Pro doesn’t want me to be myself; it wants me to be like everyone else. Some issues were legitimate, such as misspelled words, missing letters from words, and missing words, but my writing style caused most of them. I like Grammarly the way it used to be when they specialized in categories like Short Stories, Novels, and Scripts. What do I mean by Poulask terminology? Words like discovery instead of find(ing) out, gathering instead of taking, kill instead of destroy, things like that. Poulask terminology isn’t like Earth terminology, which is a lot of respect. But that’s what everyone wants to write like. An excellent example of this is kill instead of destroy. I use the word kill somehow if it’s an individual or a group of individuals. But if it’s a thing like a Threat, I use the words destroy, destroying, destroyed, etc. That’s because that’s Poulask terminology. |
