How do you know God is listening?

How can we know God is listening to our prayers?

I like to keep a prayer journal and a praise journal. Both of these help me to keep track of what God is doing in my life. I know he hears my prayers because he answers them. Jesus said that his sheep knows his voice in John 10:27-28. Then in Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus says God will tell those who are not his to depart from him and that he never knew them. I am very convinced that it is all about a relationship with the Father. Sometimes, I can hear the still small voice of the spirit talking to me. Other times, I hear his word and answers in the Bible. I hear his answers in the circumstances in my life and in the lives of others. I hear his voice and learn lessons he is teaching me through experience.
