Prompt: Feeling Happy
“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
Marcel Proust
What are your thoughts about this prompt and/or what makes you feel happier, people or some other things?

I smile a lot and try to always see the bright side of life. I know there are many things to be miserable about but the way I see things is that life is such a short time span that to spend it in a state of anxiety seems such a waste of precious time.
I’m the one all my family come to when they’re in need of a kind word, a little advice and a smile. They invariably say that I made them feel better.
I think my attitude has always been like this even in the hardest times, and there have been many; Money worries, children worries, and loneliness when I had no family in this country. Yet it was been my determination to be cheerful and try to find a little happiness out of each day that has kept me going. Now at eighty years of age I appreciate my good fortune, my home, friends and family and can see what matters and what doesn’t.
If I can make someone smile each day then I’m happy.
