Favorites

I wake up every morning
With an apple on my plate
I go to bed each evening—
An apple I just ate!

Yes, apples are my favorite
So juicy, crisp and good
They're healthy and they're tasty
They're just the perfect food!

But wait, there's also pizza
Delivered by the slice
Homemade, piled up with cheese
Fresh baked and super nice!

While speaking thus of slices
I simply can't forget
Pumpkin pie and blueberry
My appetite to whet!

In short, a favorite's hard to choose
My diet's quite diverse
At least three or four of them
Are now honored here in verse.
