Sheep Pond.

I liked to sit on the dock with my bare feet in the water.
I looked out at the pond and the other cottages across the pond.

I noticed a toy sailboat washed up on the shore.
How strange?
My dad looked at the sailboat...

"There's a hole in its keel." he said.
And then he added, "Looks like it's a bullet hole."
Dad handed the sailboat to me.

"I guess someone was using it for target practice."
I surmised...
