Could Not Abide The Death Of His Wife

Could Not Abide The Death Of His Wife

Sam felt that his life ended,
The day that his wife died.
Hoped he would soon join her
Knew he could not abide.

The Yama is named after the Indian god of death ( https://oldworldgods.com/indian/indian-god-of-death-yama/ ). It is a stanza structured in four-line stanzas with six syllables per line and a rhyme scheme of xaxa, where x is unrhymed. The theme should be grief over death or loss, as described and demonstrated in the following link: https://www.poetrymagnumopus.com/topic/1214-iv-hindi-region-the-yama/ .

The Yama is named for the Hindi god of death and is a stanzaic form found in Viola Berg's Pathways for a Poet.
The elements of the Yama are:
stanzaic, written in any number of quatrains.
syllabic, written in 6 syllable lines.
