Mirrors and Clocks

A mirrored room reflects all around
Breaking the silence of unspoken sounds
Cracking the surface with daunting pressure
Shards fly out in unison, failing to reassure

A room of clocks spoke of different times
Mountains of gears spinning to the sound of tines
Forging shame and punishment in steady lines
Mother's hand working to unravel weakened twine

Memories lost to the concrete coast
Where the land follows a holy ghost
Into the billowing sea, on waves they post
A private casket the tears quietly host
