Just things that I think about now and then.

BCoF - July 2 - Fireworks
How do you feel about fireworks? Should they be available to everyone or only professionals?

Personally, I am a fan of fireworks. I love a great display that is overhead firing away to patriotic music. I remember as a kid running around with my sisters and cousins with sparklers and having fun. Firecrackers were about the limit of my noise tolerance as far things one could buy at the open tents along side of the road, or in a mall parking area.

I have a friend who served in the military, and while he is mid 30s - fireworks often trigger his PTSD. Cannot say that I blame him. I think fireworks are ok in limited amounts, as long as the people firing them are not drinking/drunk, and that they respect their neighbors. I don't think that they belong in the city limits either.

For larger fireworks - I think those should only be bought by the "professionals". Fireworks are beautiful when done correctly, and dangerous if abused. I'm sure there are plenty of Emergency Room/Department incidents of fireworks that are mishandled.

This is just my opinion.
