A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
The Equivalent of Eight Acts Today, I got two hundred and forty single sentences written for the Scene Outlines for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Six Acts are for Part One and two Acts are for Part Two of the Movie Introduction. That’s a lot of writing for one day, especially on a Sunday. I hoped I would get one hundred and eighty single sentences for Part One of my Scene Outlines. But I got sixty more than that. Not only did I finish writing the single sentence for Part One of my Movie Introduction, but I got the Teaser Act and Act One from Part Two written today too. Why did I get so much written today? It’s because it hasn’t been like a normal Sunday. My brother and I didn’t have anything we needed to do today. At first, I thought we would have something to do. But we didn’t. As a result, I had about six hours to work on these sentences. It only took me about forty-five minutes to an hour for each Act. That’s why I got eight Acts written today. I thought it would take about an hour if I were lucky. Luckily, it didn’t take me that long to write them. Most were about forty-five minutes. But a few were an hour or more. I discovered several things while writing the single sentences for these Outlines. They are equal in the number of scenes between each character. They’re not the same. But there is a pattern to these scene numbers that makes them the same to me. Another thing I am doing differently is I’m color-coding these single-sentence Outlines. I’m using black for Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle and red for Reen, Voonc, and Kiirra. For my blues, I’m using that color for my fives and tens. So far, I’m only using them for my single sentences. Will I use them for my single-paragraph Outlines? I don’t think I will. After all, my single-paragraph Outlines are for Agents, Producers, etc. to look at before or while they look at my scripts. The single sentences are just for me to help me with my single paragraphs and scripts. Overall, I think I did an excellent job today with my writing. I hope I can do the same thing tomorrow. But I won’t count on that happening until it does. After all, tomorrow is a Monday. It’s not an ordinary Monday, though. It is also the first of July too. I don’t think the WDC prompt for July will be posted tomorrow. But it has been on the first before. It could be again. It’s usually the second or third day of the month before it is posted. Lately, it has been the third day if we are lucky. It could be that day this month too. My point is that when this prompt comes up I will start to work on the WDC Short Story for July. I don’t think it will be tomorrow, but it could be. If it isn’t, I will continue to work on this scriptwriting project. One way or another, I will be writing tomorrow, if I get the chance to do it. |
