Another Challenge For Me

It’s that time of the month when I have at least one Short Story to write. I know that I don’t have to write them. But I want to do it. Even though, it stops my scriptwriting for a few days. The WDC Short Story Contest is the Short Story I’m referring to. I like the challenges, and this one will be a great challenge for me to overcome.

Once again, I almost forgot all about this contest. A few days ago, last Thursday the second I believe, I remembered it. But when I checked the prompt wasn’t there yet. So, I continued with my scriptwriting projects. I got so involved with them that I almost forgot about it again. Luckily, I remembered yesterday while I was writing my blog entry.

After I posted my blog entry yesterday, I went to check on this contest, and there it was. I went into my Favorites and saw the prompt was posted about a day ago. It must have happened right after I checked it on Thursday. Whenever it was posted, I knew about it now, and I still had plenty of time to create my latest Short Story for this month.

Unfortunately, soon after I posted my latest blog entry and found the next WDC Short Story prompt it was time for me to get some sleep. I went to sleep thinking about this Short Story. Almost instantly I thought of a good Short Story I could write for this contest. Now all I need to do is figure out which account I will write it for.

Of course, I could write this Short Story for my Primary Account or my Secondary Account. It could go either way. My Primary Account is for my Science Faction, Science Fiction, short stories. This could be one of them. I have already remembered several short stories that fit the prompt for this WDC Short Story Contest.

I won’t write this Short Story as a Science Faction, Science Fiction, Short Story this month for several reasons. One of those reasons is that my Anniversary is coming up in August for my Secondary Account. That means I only have a few months to win this contest before my Anniversary gets here. This isn’t my main reason for choosing my Secondary Account.

The main reason why I will be using my Secondary Account for this Short Story is because of this prompt. This prompt shows people in it. Of course, I could still write a Primary Account Short Story with this prompt. But I don’t write Science Faction, Science Fiction, short stories about Earth and earthlings. This Prompt is obviously from Earth.

That’s enough of that. Now comes the time for the bad news. I haven’t gotten too far with this Short Story yet. With my brother and I moving in a few days, and having only about three hours of writing time each day, I only got the setup done today. I’m ready to start writing this Short Story. I just haven’t physically started writing it yet.
