By His stripes we are healed;
By the mangling of His flesh
We can hope for physical blessing.
By His resurrection
We hope for eternal life.

This isn't a modest token
Or some mantra I quote;
I have experienced His healing,
And have the hope of a brighter tomorrow,
Confident in His promises;
Even as I battle this weary flesh.
