1. Setting must be dynamic—it must change over time, reacting to events and your character's actions. In this sense, the setting includes location, time, culture, society, and history. of the setting.

4. What is a character's first reaction to the setting? Are they overwhelmed, disappointed, or ambivalent?
5. Who has a connection to the setting?
6. How does a character experience the setting? How do they look, feel, taste, hear, and smell the various elements in it?
