Jumping Into Focus

Jumping Into Focus

as the pieces of kaleidoscope
will form their sudden pattern,
as camouflage betrays itself
with movement, a flicking ear,
a swatting tail, a blinking eye,
as meaning from the coded page
yields to the reading mind,
as cameras we become.
