D1 "Identity Crisis"
Hmmm, on retreating from the ridiculous race, I had to question the sanity of embarking on this journey. Is it really a good idea to follow a white rabbit in a waistcoat through a mess of messy literary challenges? I am pretty sure it is the opposite of sanity to sign up for a challenge of these dimensions to be tackled in just over a month. Actually, I signed up before this challenge was opened a couple of days early. That was even less sane.
But in reality, how sane was I to start with? Does this challenge really have anything to do with my state of sanity? I am a writer, walking the treadmill of words flowing from deep within. It might actually be a point of sanity that I did sign up to channel that flow of words in an if not productive or predictable direction, at least socially acceptable direction. (Okay, socially acceptable among this group of questionably sane people also doing the challenge...)
