C2 "The Dodo"
Up ahead the hallway opened up into a clearing filled with a pond. A conglomeration of people were gathered around a well-marked running course around the pond. Some were running around the course in one direction some around in the other direction. Even more people knelt in the starting position at various places around the track.

Some of the people I recognized on sight. The red combover of the comic ex-president was unmistakable. I recognized Obama and Clinton as well. All three of them were running round the course though Trump changed direction every fifth step. This took me to questioning if I even wanted to risk my ankles on participating. Fortunately, I recognized several people wearing WDC tee-shirts and other apparel. I joined some near a lifeguard tower that was turned to face the race rather than the pond. Up in the chair sat The Storymistress stitching away at another batch of merit badges, we really have been working her too hard. The Storymaster stood with a stopwatch timing WDC members as they started and stopped the race. Beacon's Anchor Author IconMail Icon held a lantern and led a small group of children around the edges of the race with encouraging smiley face signs. Annette Author IconMail Icon glared at each of the presidents in turn then proceeded to run the other way grumbling about "How dare they but their political butts into this race." I agreed, they should be worried about proper ex-presidenting stuff. Princess Megan Snow Rose Author IconMail Icon sat on a hill abutting from the wall of the cave we came out of. She was frantically typing a review of the race. I thought about sneaking a peek at the review to see what I had missed. Gaby Author IconMail Icon was walking around in circles with a trail of checklists and banners flowing from a clipboard. "GoT" could be seen prominently topping most of them. Nobody’s Home Author IconMail Icon waved me over as she stretched in preparation for the run. I reached her and found myself compelled to stretch along with her. She smiled at me, "Really you should move on quickly or you could get trapped by this mess pretty quickly." She took off at a run towards Trump who tried to trip her and blamed Obama. I agreed with the sentiment and when the running urge hit me I ran away from the race as quickly as I could.
