F. 2. The Mad Hatter
The Mad Hatter
– Forever stuck in time! Write a story (or short poem) where your character is always stuck at 3 p.m. (<1000 words or < 40 lines)
Can you hear, Can you hear, the silly Mad Hatter,
Stomping his feet, looking at his broken clock?
"I'm late, I'm late," he hysterically chatters
Slipping it back into his sock.
He can not find the Tea Party,
It isn't where it should be.
He doesn't want to be tardy
For Crumpets and tea.
Can you hear, Can you hear, the scared Mad Hatter,
Stomping his feet, looking at his broken clock?
I'm late, I'm late, he nervously chatters
Slipping it back into his sock.
It's a Tea Party for the Queen
And it will be off with my head,
She's wicked and mean
Not a tear will she shed.
The Cheshire cat up in a tree,
Yawned, then smiled
You silly Hatter, buzzing like a bee,
Don't act like a child, being so riled.
Look! Look at your clock
The time is wrong, the time is frozen.
Come with me, let's take a walk and have some tea,
Look again at your clock,
It's broken and stuck at three.
