My book for Alice In Wonderland Going Down The Rabbit Hole Again. |
H. The Mock Turtle's Story 1. And the Moral of That Is- The Duchess does seem to find a lot of morals in things, so tell us a non fictional event that left you with a most important moral you will never forget. I was in Seventh Grade Science Class and the teacher told us to read the one chapter in the Science book, answer the questions and write a report about what we learned. She told us to take our class time in Science to do Science and she wasn't teaching today. Good. I worked on my Math problems. I wanted to get them done. I would do Science next period in Study Hall. Math was worrying me. I hated Math. I wanted to get it over it with and I had the perfect opportunity. I did my Math homework. I was done. I will do my Science homework in Study Hall and then go home and watch Dark Shadows and Gilligan's Island. I felt pretty good. Guess what? The class was over in five minutes and the teacher wanted to see our Science Homework! I handed her my Math Homework. She told me this wasn't Science and I disobeyed her and was deceitful. She also said I was one of her best students and I disappointed her.. She took my Math Homework and told me if I didn't get my Science Assignment done, I would get an F. I felt bad but I thought I was working on school work so what was the big deal?. I went to Study Hall and did my Science Assignment and I took it to her before I went home. I was embarrassed. What did I learn? What is the moral? Stick to the assignment at hand and work and focus on the now. This was a form of cheating. Cheating will get you no where. The teacher threw my Math Homework away and I had worked so hard on it. I let my teacher down and if she told my Math teacher, I let her down, too. Do the work for each class. Do Math in Math Class. Do Science in Science Class. This applies to each class. After that, I did my other Classes homework on my own time. |
