D. 2. "Remember to Recite"
"Remember to Recite"

– Read this poem - How Doth the Little Crocodile - Write a similar style (same number of lines/format) of any topic of choice.

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

The Sound of Silence

Hello Silence, my only friend,
Night has fallen, and in my anticipation
My comfort has risen, and we're together again.
I hear only, the sound of silence.

Children play, I hear them not.
Loud is my broken heart, my shattered dreams.
It is your comfort I have sought
Spreading the sound of silence.

(My attempt to wake both my brain and my muse for this prompt) *Laugh*

Remember to recite
I search the depth of my soul,
My numb brain's plight
A poem from me?, Surely you droll!

I search diligently for the words.
Then something in me stirred,
Do they really rhyme, or
Is it the twitter of birds?

The Blue Fairy Penguin

How doth the Blue Fairy Penguin
Soar freely through the sky,
His Flightlessness, his sad burden
Ne'er dance with clouds so high!

Don't suffer sadness, don't feel down
His gifts exceed all others,
He dives, swims, splashes all around
Dining on chovies with his brothers!
