promises, promises, why can't you be true
promises, promises, they don't mean jack
promises, promises, spoken and sparse
promises, promises, take them all back
promises, promises, keep them you arse
promises, promises, all that is left of you
promises, promises, please don't pretend
promises, promises, this is the end
