HOME

Home is a four letter word.
Ha ha - that sounds absurd!
But it is.

"Home" in two halves reads 'Ho me'.
Is that where I can be free?
Yes, it is.

"Om" is the Indian holy sound
Just add a person ... 'HE' around.
H-O-M-E it is.

That's about the word and spelling
Of a lofty or humble dwelling

But what does it mean? You decide
How to interpret the place where you 'reside'

Is it where you are physically?
Or where you travel regularly?

Is it the place where you were born?
Or a castle-in-the-air that you adorn?

Is it your favourite destination
Every time you go on vacation?

Or is it indeed, not a 'place' at all
But a memory that you recall

Of something that once made you glad
And grateful for all you had.

Is it indeed, someone's heart and mind
Where you're treasured because you've been kind?


Yes, it's hard to tell
What defines a place you dwell.

Home is a four letter word
The most comforting sound ever uttered.
