Peppermint Kisses
Peppermint kisses hidden in the dark,
Crisp air and secretive hearts,
Only a breeze moves,
Puff of air so still,
Sweethearts in darkness,
Between snow-covered hills.

Trail leading backwards,
Which way is home,
Owls hoot like spies,
Make it eerie to roam.

Hurry then, forwards,
Out of the cold,
Chocolate and warmth awaits,
Sweet hearth aglow.

Hands no longer touching,
Rose-tinted cheeks,
Polar opposites are the sources of joy.
