mirrors and echoes

identical is only an illusion
formed in imagined mirrors
and crossed echoes--
behind our eyes, we are individual,
an apple and an orange,
a fish and a bird,
a prism and a firework,--
rainbow and explosion--
different souls,
different destinies,
different joys,
a single shared face and voice
with separate dialogues.
