April 17 Dionysus
Dionysus

Gods and goddesses of Yore
played with humans of before.
Dionysus, god of wine,
set his sights to lust and dine.
Vino flowed from dusk to dawn
orgies, bing fests would be spawned.
Drink was spilled in drunken haste
forming puddled, bottle waste.
While ecstasy was his aim,
some connect his game with shame.

2.syllabic, lines of 7 syllables each
         3.rhymed. aa bb etc.
4.composed to celebrate the joys of drinking and lovemaking. Some Anacreontic verse tends toward the erotic or bawdy
