P28. Is "snail mail" still necessary (excluding packages), and why? When was the last time you wrote a paper-and-pen/pencil letter and mailed it (not postcard)? W/C 197 Rated "E"
I write cards and letters all the time. I love getting cards and letters. My cousin and I exchange letters every month or so.
Just recently I printed, then mailed off copies of two stories I wrote to a dear friend in Michigan. She was the inspiration for two of my winning stories. I could have emailed them to her, but I wanted her to have paper copies.
There is something so comforting to receive an actual letter in the mail. I find it hard to read anything on the computer. I have better luck with paper and pen or pencil. A book, a card, a letter. I guess I’m just old school. Or perhaps it’s the fact that my eyes are all crap now. Something about the light and pixels and all that.
I'm a member of a book club here in town. You can read the book in any form you like. I always choose print. I also joined the group on this site. 'The Book Brothel' is where we set reading goals for a month then report on the books we read. Fun. Hmm. That doesn't pertain at all to mail, now does it!
