Party of One
It doesn’t matter if I keep to myself,
I’m happy in my own company.
The world is just fine up there on the shelf,
Any more would be redundancy.

I’m happy in my own company,
There’s no one to argue or fuss with.
Any more would be redundancy,
I have me and myself to discuss with.

There’s no one to argue or fuss with,
The world is just fine up there on the shelf.
I have me and myself to discuss with,
It doesn’t matter if I keep to myself.

PANTOUM

The pantoum consists of a series of quatrains rhyming ABAB in which the second and fourth lines of a quatrain recur as the first and third lines in the succeeding quatrain; each quatrain introduces a new second rhyme as BCBC, CDCD. The first line of the series recurs as the last line of the closing quatrain, and the third line of the poem recurs as the second line of the closing quatrain, rhyming ZAZA.
