Mountain
Morning creeps like an untended fire,
Over the crest like a halo it hovers,
Upward, the Sun climbs
Nudging sleepy clouds out of its way.
Towering peaks emerge from the mist
Asserting dominance over the sky.
Impudent finger points to a heaven
No man can reach.
