PROMPT:Write a blog entry about music's effect on our feelings on sadness and happiness.

I like to sing hymns in church. None of those 7-11 songs, chants, choruses. for me. You know the ones, seven verses sung eleven times. I prefer to sing the tried and true hymns of old. 'Amazing Grace' and such. They speak to me. They sometimes move me to tears. They are poems set to music. The 'Messiah' is a great example.

I used to be a great fan of Enya and her music, Dead can Dance, and other such New Age artists. But now I love Christian hymns and Classical music. It better suits my lifestyle and way of thinking. Life is hard now, and I don't need to be reminded of it with ugly music.
