Verse form: Quatrains, 5 syllable lines with alternate rhyme.
I was going to use a surprise call I got yesterday from someone I haven't talked to for at least 20 years, we talked for an hour. So fun BUT, Literally, an unexpected phone call came from my accountant as I was completing the 2nd to last stanza. Being self-employed I pay estimated quarterly and I thought I was all paid up. But apparently, I made more last year, and working from home my expenses were less.
Addendum, CPA called back 15 minutes later, he made a mistake, I only own $1249. Thank you Lord! But that amount doesn't fit my syllable count so I left the poem alone with the shock and awe I felt until the 2nd phone call.
