Prompt: "Psalms 20:6-7 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. What does this mean to you?" God thrives on weakness. He usually does not move until we have given up all hope. I think He lets us die because in death we are at our very weakest. I'd have to do the research to know for sure but I am guessing this refers to Saul hunting David. Saul had David surrounded. In fact, Saul went into the very cave David was hiding in. Saul needed to poop and did so in David's presence. David could have killed Saul and became king. Instead he respected Saul as God's anointed and only cut off the tail of Saul's robe. He then waited for Saul to leave and when Saul was a ways off he called to Saul, showing him the piece of material and saying essentially "I could have killed you instead. I believe the world will end when God decides it is to end. However, I believe man will be the weapon used. God has always used man to punish man. Even in Noah's era God used Noah in destroying the world. I believe God will lead man to all out nuclear war, which will not only destroy man but eliminate all life. |
