On the first Thankful Thursday in 2022,
I give thanks for
the beauty
of a January sunrise
and for the chill in the air
that tells me winter is really here.


On the first Thankful Thursday in 2022,
I give thanks for
the blessings of the prayers
revealed by the Bab,
Baha'u'llah,
and 'Abdu'l-Baha:
because they will inspire
me to face
the tests I experience
this year.
