Just stuff I thought of while getting a little exercise.

Bed or Trek
About 11:00 I asked, "Alexa, walking?"
It said, '30°F, overcast with 20% chance of wet snow. Take a good coat.'
Oh, I like gadgets. Before deciding if I should do the 1 mile, I shoveled the walkway... Not bad, took 10 minutes. Biggest problem was the leaves I didn't rake up last month. Wasn't too cold, as long as the wind stayed low.
Do I need this exercise? There's a warm bed just inside the door.
Well, I went anyway. The town sent a salt truck, one pass, down the middle, sometime last night, so that was clear. But I stay on the sides. Had to avoid a few slushy ruts though. My walking shillelagh (Brazos Trekking Pole - Amazon) saved me from the ice twice.
Walking with the wind was nice. The smell of wood fired stoves and the honking Vee of Canada Geese heading south made it an okay late autumn day.
But when I rounded the block it was into the wind, and blobs of snow knocked off limbs take you by surprise. Tracks out driveways shows some people didn't get a four-day holiday. (Nobody goes shopping the day after Thanksgiving!)
As I trekked home I wished I'd gone back in to that bed.
I need to get Alexa to add expected winds to her snap weather for my walk.
