An all enCOMPASSing trip [30 DBC entry]

30DBC November 15 Prompt: You and your two best friends are going on a month-long road trip. Where are you going? What three items must be in your luggage for this trip to be a great experience for you?


With a whole month to drive around looking at stuff, it goes without saying that my bucket list is going to need a serious rewrite; unless the ferries sailing the Inside Passage are able to avoid Canadian waters entirely, Alaska may have to remain on the list for awhile. I plan to take my car, so my buddies, while not entirely without input, will have to be happy with wherever I decide is a "cool spot." The easternmost and southernmost points of the U.S. are fair game, as are the states bordering Canada west of Minnesota and most of the New England states.

The guys can bring whatever they want, but I'll have a) my laptop (there'll surely be blogging opportunities along the way), b) a few novels (500 page minimums) and, of course, c) the biggest bags of Reese's Pieces I can find. I would normally take their Peanut Butter Cups, but keeping them from melting may be a problem.
