Dream dust


Dream dust -
random twinkles of memories,
experiences real and imagined.
As sleep gives way to waking,
my heart fills with emptiness.

Departed are the days of
us, together - vibrant and alive.
Sorrow now colors my memories of
two as one, the stuff of dreams.
