Loves, Hopes [Week 17 entry]
Loves, Hopes
Loving, enjoying each new day
Open and caring is our way.
Vengeance doesn't color our path,
Even as ire tries to hold sway.
Sealed with a kiss - fight's aftermath.
Hope lights us up, though skies be gray,
Off'ring a future filled with play,
Patching up minor bouts of wrath,
Edging us 'way from pique's warpath.
Springing eternal, come what may.
Prompt: Choose one of these words [fudged a bit for form's sake] and use it as your title. Your poem should then relate back to the title in some way: Promises Hope Arrival Weakness Forgiveness
Form Note: The Acrostic Decima has 8 syllables per line, and a rhyme scheme of aabab aabba.
