Answer:
I believe it doesn't do you much good to be anything but truthful with God. He knows the innermost thoughts of your heart. He is everywhere all the time. He already knows everything including your secrets. He knew the moment Adam and Eve sinned. He knows our every thought, intention, and action.

So you tell us, what if?

What if? Should have. Could have. Would have. What might have been? I think a lot of times these phrases are laced with regret and sorrow.

What about what if? It didn't happen. What if I made a mistake? I can learn from it and move on. I can't undo it. What is done is done? What if I let go and let God? What if I trust in the Almighty’s power. What if I let him give me beauty for my ashes? What if I let him work all things for my good and the good of others? What if I trust his sovereignty? What if I know he thinks great and awesome thoughts towards me and has great plans and purpose for my life?

Is starting over always starting in the dark?

Hmmm! That's a good question. I never really thought of it that way. In some ways, I guess I can see it. I don't think every new beginning is in the dark though. For example, when you give your life to Jesus, then he takes all the darkness away. In him is light and no darkness at all.
