Shakespearean Sonnet: "The Dailyness of Daily Life"
The wakefulness of morning gives a day,
that something new and something old may be.
Beginning work by what we do and say,
creates a hope, that all the world may see.
The dailyness of daily life thus brings
an opportunity from God to Man,
that though mundane the joyous always sings
of Hope, the new, the God-sized wondrous Plan.
In youthful vigor, forging on ahead
the hoary head finds clues to living full.
The future, that some always seem to dread,
is calling them away from past days' pull.
The Day of Evermore will quickly come
when God's Own Story here has reached its sum.
