Only Ten Yesterday

The reason why I didn’t post my post yesterday until just before I went to work isn’t because of a lack of sleep. It was because I was mad. Not because of the thirty-six minutes of overtime. No, it was the reason for that OT. I was so mad I had to calm down before I wrote anything. And sleeping helps me do that. So, I went to sleep early last night.

Now for yesterday’s bad news. Only it’s not as bad as it sounds. True, I only got ten single paragraphs written for the second episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. But that’s good for a couple of reasons. One is that it was a Friday. and the second reason is that it was extremely busy at work yesterday.

It was one of the busiest days that I have seen in a long time. If it wasn’t the busiest one that I have had since I started working at this post a little over two years ago. That’s how busy it was. I was outside of my post a whole lot yesterday. Especially, the last three hours of my shift. The first five hours weren’t quite as bad. But it was still very, very bad, though.

Today is Saturday. So, I hope that I get at least fifteen single paragraphs written today. If I can do that, then I will not end Act Two, but the first half of this episode. The only problem is I don’t know if I’m going to feel up to doing it. After all, something happened yesterday in the last hour that I had to write up an Incident Report on.
