Week #7 Falling for the French - Rondel
Falling for the French

The French verse forms are relentless,
strict meter with limited rhyme
alternate fall and rise in time,
impedes English speaker's progress.

I struggle writing, I confess,
feminine, falling, tumbling climb.
The French verse forms are relentless,
strict meter with limited rhyme.

I pick up my pen and make access
of dictionaries, search the grime
and glory of words so sublime
to write a poem and coalesce.
The French verse forms are relentless.
