duplicitous goodbye
Here’s to you my friend, my lost flame
Here’s to our time passing nigh
Our words are writ with feelings told
Here’s to my reluctant good-bye.

Though we’ll never know had I stayed
If our lives were meant to cross
We both are in a pleasant space
Of time and love not lost.

Here’s to you my friend of old
Good health and happiness too
Our fantasy fling was fun to behold
A curtain falls; the end is due.

Here’s to your kindness and hopeful dream
That our paths might meet again.
And here’s to the life that we each built
With valued family and caring friends.

Here’s to your princely charming ways
Here’s to your kindly gentleman charms
Here’s to our fun flirtatious chats
Here’s to rekindled romance –no harm-
We landed in another’s arms!
