The Path Less Taken
The Path Less Taken:
What is the path less taken?

What is the path less taken? I wonder as I look out the open door of my studio apartment. This afternoon I am less worried (an over-thinking issue) then I was this morning. I went to the store about 12:00 pm so that I could pick up my prescription eye drops. I purchased three small packages frozen vegetables (vegetables that I do not have in cans), a jar of peanut butter, some crackers (which I probably did not need), and some snack puddings (which I know I did not need). The thing I purchased which I did not need are things I like and will eventually eat.

What is the path less taken? I have not answered this question. I am not sure there is one answer because I think the answer is different for every individual. I also think the path is different in every age. I know that last statement does not make much sense, but that does not matter to me right now. I will deal with that issue once I get to the point of editing this and turning it into either a poem or an essay.

This afternoon, my path less taken is lamb soup or stew (this depends on your point of view). Some friends brought some ground lamb over a couple of three days ago. I cooked it today and then added some canned vegetables and a marinade. I do this a lot with meat I have in the freezer. Once the heat has blinded the ingredients then I will have a small bowl tonight. Tomorrow I may cook some pasta to go with it or I may crumble up the white taco shells I have. The taco shells is why I did not need the crackers. I have to eat the taco shells before I open the crackers if I can overcome the temptation to open the crackers.
